016Pergola in Appleton
posted by Jeff on May 28th, 2007

As I thought might happen, we’d get so busy after the snow melted that I’d have little time to update this site at the beginning of the season. We started breaking ground on new landscaping projects across the Fox Cities in early April, and are now knee-deep in the construction season.
Pictured above you’ll see a pergola we built for a client in the southeast Appleton (Darboy) area. They have an existing concrete patio, but with their southern exposure, short of everyone huddling under one sun umbrella, it was just too uncomfortable to spend time on the patio. We designed and built an all-cedar pergola (roughly 15′ x 20′) with a custom trellis on one post to grow some Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans).
Now spending time lounging on the back patio is cool and relaxing.
