006What’s that flower in the masthead?
posted by Jeff on December 7th, 2006
I’ve had a few people ask me what is pictured in the masthead at the top of the site. The flower in question is an Allium azureum or Blue Drumstick (also called Allium caeruleum). It’s a bulb that’s in the same family as the ornamental onion and chive.
As for the tiny bee-looking bug hovering around the bloom? I’m not sure. But he looks hungry!
Thanks for asking!
