012Getting the Landscaping Itch
posted by Jeff on February 19th, 2007
Can you feel the weather getting warmer? Yeah, me either. The Fox Cities have had quite a stretch of cold weather, making it hard for the kids or adults to get outside and enjoy the winter. I was even a bit jealous when I heard about all the snowfall on the east coast; I was wishing some of that had made it to Appleton. As I look out into my yard this morning, there’s probably 2-3 inches of hard-packed whiteness. The kind of snow that doesn’t even flinch when you walk on it.
But the calendar tells us that spring is soon on it’s way. And even if I didn’t have a calendar, I’d still know we were getting close just by the odd ringing noise that black box with the wires coming out of it has been making lately. It seems to always make that ringing noise when spring is getting close.
So we’re starting to get ready. We’re checking over our tools and equipment, making any repairs that need to be made (thanks to Appleton Steel for getting the new jack welded onto our hydroseeding trailer). We’re also starting to meet with clients to discuss projects for the new season.
You may have even received a postcard in the mail this week, detailing a $250 discount for residents of Wisconsin’s Fox Valley, for any landscaping service we provide. The coupon is good for 90 days from the day you receive it, so be sure to give us a call if you’re considering a project in your yard - spring is always a busy time for us, and our schedule can fill up quickly.
So if you have the backyard landscaping itch like we do, give us a call. We’ll be happy to visit and talk about how we can scratch that itch once the snow melts.
